SSC CHSL Postal Assistant Exam Details: The acronym of SSC CHSL is Staff Selection Commission/ Combined Higher Secondary Level. The exam conducting body for the various posts of data entry operator, lower divisional clerks, sorting assistants and postal assistants is the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). The students have to compete on an all India level.

Vacancies available– There are total 6590 vacancies for the above posts. The vacancies available for the post of Postal/ Sorting Assistants are 3,527.
Exam mode – The mode of exam is offline.
Dates to remember– The release date of the online and offline application forms will be declared soon. The E- admits cards will be issued in the first week of September 2018. The tentative dates for the examination are September 25, 2018, October 09, 2018 and October 16, 2018.
The result of the examination will be declared in January 2019. The skill/typing test will be held in March 2019. The final declaration of the result will be in May 2019.
Pay scale– The grade pay for the post of postal assistant for SSC chsl is Rs.2400 and the gross salary lies between Rs.29340-35220. The basic in hand salary of postal Assistant SSC chsl lies between Rs. 25165-31045.

Academic qualifications – The candidates must have cleared their 12th i.e., secondary higher education or any identical qualification from a recognized institution or university to apply for SSC chsl exam
Age limit –
The age required for applying for the posts mentioned above must not be less than 18 years and not more than 27 years. The relaxation of age will be relevant as per the government obligations.
Application form 2018 – Proficient and curious candidates can apply for the post of postal assistant for SSC chsl exam in two ways – online and offline. For the submission of form through offline mode, a candidate must download the form from the official website and take its printout for further filling of the application form. Whereas the applicants who wish to fill the form online may directly visit the official website of SSC i.e. www.ssc.online.nic.in.
Payment procedure – The offline applicants have to pay Rs. 100/- through CRF stamps which are available in the post office. The exemption of NO FEE payment is ranted to all the women and reserved categories as per the norms of Govt. of India. The online applicants also have to pay a fee of Rs. 100 through challan at any SBI branch or through any credit/debit cards. Although the exemption of NO FEE payment is extended to the scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, females, physically handicapped category.
Recruitment process –
First of all, a written examination of 200 marks is conducted. All the questions are in the form of MCQ’s. The candidates who clear the written examination are further called for a typing/skill test and all the candidates who clear this test are eligible for recruitment.
It is very crucial for the students to download the SSC CHSL admit card and bring it to the examination center. Students without the admit card are strictly prohibited. The admit cards are readily available on the websites given above by the 1st week of September 2018.
Declaration of results
The results will be uploaded in a PDF format on the official website of the SSC by the month of January 2019.
